Officers investigating a robbery in which a vehicle was stolen in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 3.45pm on Saturday 11 May 2024 the victim was working for a delivery company and was delivering items in a white Ford Transit van in Ringwood Road, near to the junction with St George’s Avenue.

While she was making a delivery, a man and woman approached the vehicle and the man got in before attempting to drive off in it.

The van stalled a short distance away and the victim attempted to get in to through the passenger door. However, the man drove off again, with the victim being thrown from the vehicle as he did so.

The woman who had been with the offender made off on foot down St George’s Avenue.

The van was located a short time later near to the Bearwood Community Centre in King John Avenue. The victim’s handbag had been taken from the van.

The male offender is described as being of slim build with short brown messy hair and was wearing denim shorts or jeans and a grey T-shirt.

The woman who was with him is described as being around five feet four inches tall and of slim build. She was wearing a two-piece outfit with a crop top and light trousers with a white and pink pattern.

Police Constable Alice Beavon, of Poole police, said: “Fortunately the victim did not sustain any serious injuries during this incident but it was understandably very distressing for her.

“We are conducting a number of enquiries as we try and identify the individuals involved and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.

“I would also urge any motorists who were travelling in the area of Ringwood Road in Poole on the afternoon of Saturday 11 May 2024 to please review any available dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might be relevant to our investigation.”
