Fail-to-stop collision in Christchurch – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision in Christchurch.

Between 9.30pm and 9.45pm on Sunday 28 May 2023 a collision occurred involving a motorbike and a car in Somerford Road near to the junction with Southey Road.

The driver of the car – described as possibly a silver hatchback – failed to stop at the scene.

The male motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and attended hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Steve Taylor, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into this collision and would ask any witnesses to please come forward.

“In particular, I am keen to speak to the driver of the car so we can take your account of what happened.

“Finally, if anyone was travelling in the area and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage please get in touch.”
