Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic collision near Wimborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.16pm on Sunday 27 September2026 of a four-vehicle collision on the B3082 between Pamphill Dairy and Kingston Lacy. The vehicles involved were a white Vauxhall Vivaro van, a blue Skoda Fabia, a grey Audi Q5 and a blue Mazda 3.

Emergency services attended and a passenger of the van, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious. His family has been informed.

Road closures were put in place as the emergency services responded and to allow for an examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles.

Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out an investigation in order to establish the full circumstances of this collision. I am to speak to witnesses, in particular the occupants of a vehicle that stopped and spoke to a witness prior to officers arriving at the scene.

“I would also urge any motorists who were driving in the vicinity around the relevant time and have dashcam fitted to please review any footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place – these were necessary in order to allow the emergency services to respond safely and for an examination of the collision scene to be conducted.”
