CCTV appeal following assault in Bournemouth

Officers are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as they investigate an assault in Bournemouth.

It was reported that at around 2.45am on Saturday 16 August 2025 a man aged in his 20s was struck with a metal pole outside of Turtle Bay in Old Christchurch Road.

The victim sustained a serious head injury as a result of the incident.

Detective Inspector Richard Winn, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have been carrying out detailed enquiries into this incident and exploring all available lines of enquiry.

“We are now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to his identity to please make contact with us.”
