Public appeal to locate wanted man in North Dorset

Officers are issuing an appeal for information from the public as they carry out enquiries to locate a wanted man from North Dorset.

Nicholas Castle, aged 28, is wanted in connection with an alleged burglary at a shop in Gillingham on Monday 21 July 2025 and reported driving offences following an incident in Shaftesbury on Tuesday 22 July 2025.

Castle is described as five feet eight inches tall and of slim build with brown hair.

Chief Inspector Darren Moores, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries to locate Nicholas Castle, but these have so far proved unsuccessful. I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact us.

“While there is no information to suggest Castle poses a risk to the public, we would urge anyone who sees him not to approach, but to instead dial 999 immediately.”
