Serious collision in Corfe Mullen – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam to come forward to assist with their enquiries into a serious injury collision in Corfe Mullen.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.26am on Monday 22 January 2024 of a collision involving a grey Skoda Fabia and a beige Volkswagen Beetle on Lockyers Road, at the junction with Roman Heights.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Skoda, a local man aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious but not life-threatening. His family has been informed.

The driver of the Beetle, a Poole woman aged in her 40s, was checked over at the scene by the ambulance service and was not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

Police Constable Billy Forster, of East Dorset police, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists with dashcam fitted to their vehicle who were in the area and may have captured relevant footage.”
