Appeal for witnesses following reported affray in Poole
Officers are issuing an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate a reported affray in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at around 7.20pm on Wednesday 9 October 2024 of an altercation involving a large group of people in Viscount Walk.
It was reported that some of the people involved were in possession of a knife, baseball bat and golf club.
Officers attended the incident. A 45-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon and a 16-year-old boy – also from Poole – was arrested on suspicion of affray, assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both remain in police custody at this time.
Investigations Officer Aimee Saunders, of Bournemouth police, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing. I understand that there were a number of witnesses at the scene who may have seen what happened, so I am keen to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to police.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam, home CCTV or mobile phone footage.”
