Witness appeal following report of assaults in Poole
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following reported assaults in Poole.
It is reported that at approximately 8am on Thursday 12 December 2024 a teenager was on his scooter in Poole High Street when he was approached by an unknown man near Santander bank.
The man reportedly became abusive and barged into the teenager, before walking off in the direction of Poole Quay.
It was later reported that the man punched a person and was abusive towards others in the same area at approximately 5.30pm.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of common assault and being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Sarah Fuller, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into these reports of assault, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.
“I would also urge motorists who may have been in the area to please check any dashcam footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.
“I would like to make the same plea to residents or businesses in the vicinity with CCTV systems to review their footage for anything of relevance.”
