Appeal to identify victim of assault in Boscombe
Officers investigating two assaults in Boscombe are appealing for help from the public to identify one of the victims.
At around 6am on Thursday 1 August 2024 it is reported that an elderly man was assaulted by a man on Sea Road near to KFC. He was treated by the ambulance service, but did not sustain any serious injuries.
Following the initial incident, the offender subsequently assaulted a second member of the public near to McDonald’s in Christchurch Road.
The victim of the second incident is described as white, bald with a white goatee beard and was wearing a black jacket with a hood over a grey or blue shirt, black trousers, black shoes and was walking using a stick.
Police Constable Edwin Deverill, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are investigating these two assaults and would like the public’s help to identify the second victim so we can take his account of what happened and provide support.
“I am appealing to anyone who recognises him from the description given to please get in touch. If you are the man involved – please come forward as we want to make sure you are OK.
“We understand this was a traumatic incident for the victim we have already spoken to and it has had a significant impact on their wellbeing.
“I would also appeal for anyone with information about the two incidents to please come forward.”
