Appeal following criminal damage to vehicles in Gillingham

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following incidents of criminal damage to cars in Gillingham.

Dorset Police received a report that a car parked in Queen Street had been damaged with a key at around 11.40pm on Saturday 13 June 2026.

Police Community Support Investigator Lucy Wickham, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from any residents with relevant home CCTV or doorbell camera footage, as well as any motorists who may have dashcam footage that could assist our enquiries.

“We are also aware of a number of reports of vehicles being damaged in Queen Street on Saturday 9 May 2026 and we believe these incidents may be linked. I am urging anyone with information about damage to vehicles in Queen Street on either date to please get in touch with police.”
