Appeal for information following theft from vehicle near Bridport

Officers investigating a theft from a vehicle near Bridport are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between midday and 1pm on Saturday 14 March 2026 a car parked in the Langdon Hill car park by Golden Cap was broken into.

It was reported that the rear windscreen was smashed and a handbag had been stolen from within.

Police Sergeant Megan Hall, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the car park around midday on Saturday 14 March 2026 or captured any dashcam footage of relevance.”
