Update in relation to reported robbery and attempted robbery in Bournemouth

A man arrested in connection with a reported robbery and attempted robbery in Bournemouth will face no further police action.

The first incident occurred at around 4am on Wednesday 17 November 2021. It was reported that two women, aged 18 and 19, were robbed in Fir Vale Road with their mobile phones stolen.

It was reported that a short time later a man was also the victim of an attempted robbery in Bath Road. He was allegedly threatened by a man with a knife and punched but nothing was stolen.

Following enquiries by officers, a 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted robbery and he was released under investigation. Following further enquiries, he has now been released from the investigation and will face no further police action.
