Witness appeal after vehicle stolen in Blandford
Officers investigating the theft of a vehicle in Blandford are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
At around 1.10pm on Monday 20 July 2026 a man was walking in the Salisbury Road area toward Lidl trying to hitch a lift.
The man then got into an unoccupied white Ford Transit van in Shaftesbury Lane and drove away at speed.
He is described as wearing light-coloured shorts, a dark-coloured T-shirt and a large rucksack.
Police Sergeant Mia Jakeman, of the Rural Crime Team, said: “I am appealing to any motorists who were driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please get in touch.”
