Witness appeal following alleged robbery in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a reported robbery in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 4.14pm on Wednesday 16 March 2022 of a robbery in Columbia Road. 

It is alleged that two boys approached a 12-year-old local boy and pulled him into a nearby subway. The two boys are known to the victim and it is reported that one of them was in possession of a knife.

Following enquiries, a 14-year-old boy from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. 

Detective Inspector Jon Sainsbury, of Bournemouth CID, said: “An investigation is underway into the incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or dashcam footage.”
