Serious injury collision in Bournemouth – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses and relevant dashcam footage as they investigate a serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 3.35pm on Thursday 5 June 2025 of a collision involving a red Honda motorcycle on the A338 at the Cooper Dean Roundabout.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-changing or life-threatening.

Police Sergeant Mark Burton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

“I would urge any witnesses to the incident, or the manner of driving of the motorcyclist involved prior to the collision, to please make contact with us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
