Teenager charged following drugs warrant in Bournemouth
A teenager has been charged with drug supply offences following a search of an address in Bournemouth.
Following reports of suspicious drug-related activity, a male suspect was detained in Westbourne on Thursday 29 September 2022, and an address in Southbourne was searched.
It was reported that a quantity of suspected class A and class B drugs were located, as well as more than £1,000 in cash.
A 17-year-old local boy was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property. He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 30 September 2022 and is next due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 5 October 2022.
Inspector Nick Lee, of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Police Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, said: “Through Operation Viper, we continue to relentlessly pursue those suspected of being involved in the supply of illegal drugs in our communities and we have again taken positive action to disrupt the efforts of those believed to be involved.
“We will respond to concerns raised by local communities and value the information they provide to assist in our ongoing efforts.
