Road traffic collision in Ferndown – witness and dashcam appeal
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a collision in Ferndown.
The incident occurred at around 1.55pm on Sunday 20 September 2026 involving a grey Nissan Qashqai and a green Kawasaki motorcycle on the A347 New Road at the junction with Dudsbury Avenue.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from Bournemouth, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses – or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage – to please get in contact with us.
“I would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision.
“A member of the public who witnessed the collision did leave their details, but the number was incorrect. I would ask them to please contact us directly.”
