Burglary in Weymouth – witness appeal
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a property was burgled in Weymouth.
At around 5am on Wednesday 23 September 2026 the occupant of an address in Abbotsbury Road was awoken by an unknown man in his property.
The offender was disturbed and fled the scene. He is described as white, around six feet tall with brown hair and was wearing a khaki-coloured jacket.
The victim’s watch and mobile phone were stolen.
Police Constable Charlie Frost, of Weymouth Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This must have been extremely frightening for the victim and enquiries are underway to identify the suspect.
“I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in Abbotsbury Road, or captured anything of relevance on CCTV or doorbell camera footage, to please come forward.
“I am also appealing to residents in Melbury Road to please check their home CCTV or doorbell camera footage as the victim’s phone was found discarded in this location.”
