Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 5.20pm on Saturday 28 March 2026 a road traffic collision occurred involving a grey car and a pedestrian in Wimborne Road, near the junction with Leslie Road.

It was reported the driver of the car failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, attended hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

Police Constable Beth Pharoah, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, as well as anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“I would also like to make a plea to the driver of the vehicle involved to please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
