Stolen caravans recovered following cross-border working by police
Three stolen caravans have been recovered by officers following cross-border working between Dorset Police and colleagues in other forces.
At around 9.50pm on Thursday 1 September 2022 entry was forced to a caravan park in Lytchett Matravers.
It is reported that a number of vehicles – believed to be using false number plates – were used to steal two caravans from the park.
Following enquiries, on the evening of Monday 5 September 2022 officers from Thames Valley Police attended an address and located three caravans.
One of the caravans is believed to have been stolen during the incident in Lytchett Matravers, while the other two are suspected to have been stolen from the Thames Valley and Staffordshire areas.
Police Constable Sebastian Haggett, of the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team, said: “Following joint working with a number of police forces, officers have been able to locate three stolen high-value caravans.
“Our investigation is continuing and we will be looking into a number of lines of enquiry to try and identify those responsible.
