Serious injury collision in Poole – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury collision in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.12am on Monday 8 September 2025 of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a black Mini Cooper convertible and a grey Toyota Yaris at the Mountbatten Roundabout in Ringwood Road.

Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place.

The male driver of the Toyota Yaris was taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. His next of kin have been informed.

Police Sergeant David Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries as we seek to establish the full circumstances of this collision, and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the vicinity and may have captured relevant dashcam footage, as well as anyone who saw the manner of driving of the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the collision.”
