Appeal for witnesses and dashcam following serious collision in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to get in touch following a serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

At around 1.10pm on Friday 2 January 2026, a collision occurred involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian in Bourne Avenue.

The pedestrian – a woman aged in her 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We now know that the pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and we are doing all we can to investigate the circumstances.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen what happened to please come forward.

“Also, I would urge anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
