Family tribute following fatal road traffic collision near Bridport
The family of a man who sadly died in a road traffic collision near Bridport has paid tribute to their loved one.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.46am on Sunday 27 July 2025 of a collision involving a grey Audi A7, a blue Ford Mondeo and a Kawasaki motorbike on the B3157 Coast Road near to Swyre.
The rider of the motorbike – 50-year-old Mike Shepherd – very sadly died at the scene. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.
The family of Mike has issued the following statement: “Mike was a truly wonderful human being, a loving son, phenomenal brother, caring and thoughtful, father, uncle and grandfather.
“His love of bikes and cars has been with him from his teenage years and followed him through his journeys and travels.
“He will be greatly missed by so many and died doing what he loved best."
