CCTV appeal following arson in Bournemouth
Detectives investigating an arson at an address in Bournemouth are issuing CCTV footage of the incident as they look to identify two suspects.
Dorset Police received a report at around 1.05am on Thursday 15 May 2025 to an incident outside an address in Montgomery Avenue.
Two men wearing face coverings got out of a vehicle – a dark-coloured VW Tiguan – and threw bricks and a petrol bomb at the property before leaving the area in the same vehicle.
Officers attended with the fire service, who extinguished the fire.
A man, who was inside the address, sustained a minor burn injury to his hand. He did not require hospital treatment.
Detective Inspector Chris Bradford, of BCP CID, said: “This was a deliberate and targeted attack, and we are carrying out a detailed investigation in a bid to identify those responsible.
“As part of our enquiries, we are now in a position to release doorbell CCTV footage of the incident with the audio as we believe this may assist members of the public with identifying two of the suspects.
“I would urge anyone who recognises them or their voices, or who has any further information that might assist our enquiries, to please contact us.”
