Witness and dashcam appeal after serious collision in Sherborne
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury collision in Sherborne.
Dorset Police received a report at 12.02pm on Thursday 19 June 2025 of a collision involving a silver Kia Venga and a pedestrian in Cheap Street.
The pedestrian – a woman aged in her 70s – sustained life-changing injuries and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “This collision occurred in a busy street and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on either dashcam or CCTV footage to please get in touch.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place as this allowed us to safely treat the injured woman and carry out a scene examination.”
