Officers who recovered several suspected stolen bikes in Poole are issuing an image appeal in a bid to reunite them with their owners.

On Saturday 25 May 2024, officers attended an address in Coles Avenue and recovered pedal bikes which are suspected to have been stolen.

A 41-year-old man from East Sussex has been arrested on suspicion of theft offences. He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Constable William Aitken, of Poole police, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who believes they have had a bike matching the ones shown in the images stolen recently.

“If you suspect one of the recovered bikes is yours, please get in touch with a full description of the item, including serial number, proof of purchase and any other distinguishing marks. If the bike matches the information you provide us, we will be in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240079365. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
