Officers investigating criminal damage at a gym in Christchurch are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 11.30pm on Friday 14 March 2025, an unknown man followed a member into Anytime Fitness in Saxon Square and gained entry to the premises.

Once inside, he tried to leave the building but was unable to open the doors. He subsequently used a fire extinguisher and large noticeboard to cause damage to the window.

Police Sergeant Ashley White, of Bournemouth East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “As part of our enquiries, I am issuing a CCTV image of a man I would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
