Appeal for information following theft of motorbike in Christchurch

Officers are appealing for information as they investigate the theft of a motorbike in Christchurch.

It was reported that between 2.30am and 3.30am on Saturday 20 April 2024 offenders attempted to steal two motorbikes and a push bike from outside a property in Purewell.

Officers attended and found the push bike and one of the motorbikes a short distance from the address.

One of the motorbikes, a BMW GS1200 R, was taken and was found abandoned the following day in the West Moors area.

Police Constable Tom Rose, of Dorset Police, said: “Thankfully both motorbikes and the push bike have now been accounted for, but we continue to carry out enquiries to identify the offenders involved.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Saturday 20 April 2024 to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant footage on home CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcam.”
