Arrest following reported knife-related public order incident in Bournemouth

A man has been arrested following enquiries into a reported knife-related public order incident in Bournemouth.

It was reported that at around 3.20pm on Friday 9 January 2026 the victim was in the area of Bath Road when he was threatened by a man with what appeared to be a Stanley knife.

The victim reportedly got into his car and drove off, with the suspect believed to have made off in the direction of Gervis Road.

Following a CCTV appeal and enquiries by officers, a 26-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and a public order offence. He has been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
