Appeal for information following assault in Weymouth

Officers investigating an assault on a dog walker in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between 8.10am and 8.20am on Wednesday 29 November 2023, the victim – a woman aged in her 50s – was walking her dog on a path near to Victory Hall in Putton Lane when a group of male teenagers approached riding scooters.

The group did not slow down and the victim was knocked by the scooters. She did not sustain any injuries.

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Weymouth police, said: “I have now been able to obtain details of this incident from the victim and enquiries are continuing to identify those involved.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has information about the group of boys, to please contact Dorset Police.”
