Arrests made following reported assault in Christchurch

Two arrests have been made as detectives continue to investigate a reported assault in Christchurch.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.37pm on Monday 29 December 2025 that a man had sustained stab wounds in Dennistoun Avenue. 

The victim – a man aged in his 40s – was taken to hospital for treatment. 

A cordon was put in place to allow for detailed enquiries to be carried out at the scene.

Following investigative work, officers have arrested a 33-year-old man from Christchurch and a 35-year-old woman from Poole on suspicion of attempted murder.

They remain in police custody at this time.
