Update – man arrested in connection with reported animal cruelty incident in Bournemouth
Officers investigating a report of animal cruelty in Bournemouth have made an arrest.
At 9.55am on Friday 18 February 2022 Dorset Police received a report that a man was seen shouting at a black and white Staffy-type dog in Wimborne Road in Kinson. He was reportedly then seen to strike the dog twice to the head with a closed fist.
Following enquiries by officers and an image appeal, a 31-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty. He has been released under investigation as officers carry out further enquiries.
