Woman charged in connection with reported burglary offences in Bournemouth

A woman has been charged and is due to appear in court in connection with reported burglary offences in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received reports of two burglaries, which took place at properties in Leybourne Avenue during the early hours of Monday 15 September 2025.

Officers attended and following enquiries, a 36-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of dwelling burglary, as well as one attempted dwelling burglary, which reportedly occurred in Wimborne Road on Monday 25 August 2025. She is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 16 October 2025.

Detective Sergeant David Went, of the BCP Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to conduct enquiries and I would ask anyone who has witnessed any suspicious behaviour, or captured anything of relevance on their doorbell or home CCTV cameras, to please get in touch with us.”
