Appeal for information following burglary and attempted burglary in Ferndown

Officers are investigating a burglary and attempted burglary in Ferndown and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Between 6.30pm on Monday 27 May and 12am on Tuesday 28 May 2024 entry was gained to a home in New Road and high value jewellery, cash and identity documents were stolen.

It was further reported that at around 10.05pm on the evening of Monday 27 May 2024 three offenders smashed a glass sliding door at a property in Westwood Avenue but made off when disturbed by the occupants.

One man is described as white, aged in his late 20s, around five feet eleven inches tall and of large build with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit.

The other two suspects are described as white, aged in their early 20s, around five feet seven inches tall and of slim build. They were also wearing dark-coloured tracksuits and had their faces obscured, either with masks or by having their hoods over their heads.

Police Constable Kayleigh Barguss, of East Dorset police, said: “These incidents have both caused distress to the victims involved and have resulted in damage or valuable items being stolen.

“We are determined to identify the offenders involved and I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage.”
