CCTV appeal following reported burglary in Bournemouth
Detectives are issuing CCTV images of a man and woman they would like to identify following a reported burglary in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 10 June 2025 that a man allegedly entered an unlocked address in Gervis Road and took a handbag containing cash, a bank card and house keys. He walked off in the direction of Christchurch Road.
It was reported that prior to the incident, a man and woman were standing behaving suspiciously in Weston Drive. They followed the man in the same direction after he left the address.
Several fraudulent transactions were subsequently made totalling over £650.
Then, a further report was received at 7.45am on Wednesday 11 June 2025 that two men allegedly attempted to gain entry to the same address using a set of keys. When challenged by the occupants, the men became verbally aggressive before eventually leaving.
One of the men was described as aged in his 50s and of large build, with a round face and a bald head. He was wearing a black top and black trousers.
Following enquiries, a 41-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of burglary and fraud offences. He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues.
