Witness appeal following reported assault in Bournemouth
Detectives investigating an alleged assault in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward – with one man arrested.
It was reported that at around 7.30pm on Sunday 27 February 2022 a man assaulted another man and a woman outside the Kings Arms pub on Wallisdown Road.
The male victim was allegedly punched in the face and sustained a fractured jaw.
It was also reported that the man pushed the woman over, causing her to sustain minor injuries.
Following enquiries, a 46-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
The arrested man and the victims are known to each other.
Detective Sergeant Adam Aggas, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured any relevant footage of this incident.”
