Update – arrest in connection with reported robbery in Dorchester

A man has been arrested in connection with a reported robbery at a store in Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2.15pm on Friday 3 May 2024 that a man had made threats to a staff member at the Currys store in Weymouth Avenue before taking a key fob from them. It was reported that the man then took several items of stock from the shelves before he left without paying.

Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a 27-year-old man from Portsmouth in Hampshire was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
