Witness appeal after arson in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an incident of arson in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It was reported that at around 2.15am on Sunday 19 June 2022 a number of bins were set alight on Northcote Road and Holdenhurst Road.

The fire also burnt down a wooden fence causing damage to an outhouse and caused significant damage to a property in which two residents were at home at the time.

Detective Sergeant Adam Aggas, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was mindless vandalism that could have had devastating results.

“I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen someone acting in a suspicious manner in the area at the relevant time to please come forward.

“Also, I am very keen to hear from any motorists with dashcam and owners of home CCTV who might have footage in relation to the incident.”
