Serious injury collision near Wimborne – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers investigating a serious injury collision near Wimborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 2.48pm on Saturday 16 August 2025 of a collision involving a black Volkswagen Polo and a white Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello motorbike on Parsonage Hill in the area of Gussage St Michael.

Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike – a man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be life-changing.

Police Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I would ask anyone with dashcam footage to please come forward.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or the manner of driving or riding of the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the collision.”
