Road traffic collision in Poole – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers investigating a road traffic collision outside a school in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 8.23am on Tuesday 19 March 2024 of a collision involving a Toyota RAV4 and a child pedestrian in Talbot Drive.

The child – a three-year-old boy – was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

A road closure was put in place while emergency services safely dealt with the incident. It was lifted at around 10.05am.

Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out an investigation into the circumstances of this incident and am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area with a dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check the footage for anything of relevance to assist my enquiries.”
