Witness and dashcam appeal following reported road related incident in Shaftesbury
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward following a report of a road related incident in Shaftesbury.
It was reported that between 7pm and 7.20pm on Friday 18 September 2026 a woman aged in her 20s was in her vehicle on Shaftesbury High Street and was at the give way junction with Mustons Lane when a black Audi approached and reportedly failed to give way.
Both vehicles were stationary in the road for a moment before the Audi mounted the pavement in an attempt to get around the woman’s vehicle. As the Audi drove past, the male driver reportedly challenged the woman and spat from his vehicle through the victim’s open window, striking her.
Police Constable Nathan Young, of North Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses to please make contact with us.
“I would also urge any motorists with dashcam who were driving in the area around the relevant time, as well as residents or businesses with CCTV cameras, to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
