Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Wareham
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward as they continue to investigate a serious injury road traffic collision in Wareham.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.47am on Wednesday 1 July 2026 of a collision involving a silver Toyota Verso and a pedestrian in North Street.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
Police Constable Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and from our enquiries it is clear there were a number of people present who may have witnessed the incident.
“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, as well as anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please make contact with us.”
