Update – man appears in court in connection with report of rape in Poole
A man has appeared in court in connection with the reported rape of a teenage girl in Poole.
It was reported that a 14-year-old girl was the victim of rape and sexual assault in the area of Upton County Park on the afternoon of Saturday 13 March 2021.
A 19-year-old man from Folkestone in Kent, who was 17 at the time of the incident, was arrested in connection with the matter.
Following a detailed investigation by Dorset Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team, he was issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 29 April 2022 for offences of rape and assault by penetration. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday 30 May 2022.
