Public appeal in search for missing teenager last seen in Bournemouth
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward as they search for a teenage girl last seen in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report raising concern for the welfare of Ruby, aged 13, who left an address in the Kinson area on foot at around 10am on Tuesday 18 August 2026.
Ruby is described as around five feet one inch tall and of slim to average build with long brown hair with blonde parts at the front. It is believed she was wearing black leggings and a black jacket with red trainers, carrying a black rucksack with a Nike emblem on it.
Inspector Tracy Santoni, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Ruby’s welfare and are carrying out searches to try and locate her.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to please contact us immediately.
“I would also like to make a direct appeal to Ruby if you see this, please get in touch with us or your family and let us know where you are. We all just want to check that you are OK.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Ruby’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting incident number 18:157.
