Appeal for information after alleged criminal damage in Weymouth

Officers investigating alleged criminal damage in Weymouth are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 3.15am on Wednesday 30 August 2023 that a man was kicking cars on The Esplanade.

Damaged was caused to three vehicles that were parked in the area.

Officers attended and a 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Serita Savolainen, of Dorset Police, said: “I am really keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.

“Also, if your vehicle was parked in the area and you have discovered any damage, please get in touch.”
