Witness and dashcam appeal following serious collision in Bournemouth
Officers investigating a serious injury collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
At around 10.30am on Monday 12 August 2024 a collision occurred involving a blue Mercedes tipper lorry and a pedestrian on Richmond Hill.
The pedestrian – a local man aged in his 70s – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The lorry driver did not sustain any injuries.
Police Constable Duncan Roberts, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“I understand there were two pedestrians who came to the aid of the injured man after the incident and I would urge them to please come forward so I can find out what they saw.
“I am also keen to hear from any other witnesses who have not already spoken to police or anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
