No injuries were reported.

Police Constable Sim Churchill, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are investigating this incident and looking to establish the full circumstances of how it occurred.

“We know that there were a number of people around Poole town centre at the time who may have witnessed the incident and we are keen to hear from anyone with relevant information who has not spoken to us.

“Furthermore, we are keen to speak to one witness – a woman who was wearing a green scarf and a light-blue backpack and riding a dark-blue mountain bike – who may be able to provide vital information about the incident.

“Lastly, we are appealing to the three teenagers who reportedly chased the boy to please come forward so we can hear your version of events.”
