Witness appeal after man sustained injuries in Bournemouth

Detectives are investigating how a man sustained injuries in Bournemouth and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 8.20pm on Sunday 29 March 2026 from the ambulance service after a man was located in Ringwood Road near to the junction with St Georges Drive with injuries.

The man – aged in his 50s from Bournemouth – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Detective Constable Steve Davis, of BCP CID, said: “An investigation is underway to establish how the man sustained his injuries.

“We are reviewing CCTV in the area and are now appealing to anyone who witnessed an incident at the location around the relevant timeframe to please come forward.

“I would also ask any motorists to please check their dashcam footage if they were travelling along Ringwood Road to see if they may have captured anything of relevance to assist our enquiries.”
