Detectives make further arrest following reported serious assault in Bournemouth
Detectives continuing to investigate a reported serious assault in Bournemouth have made a further arrest.
Dorset Police received a report at 12.30am on Tuesday 28 April 2026 that a man had been assaulted outside Barbara’s Bier Haus in Old Christchurch Road.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital. He remains in hospital, where he continues to receive treatment.
Following enquiries, a 25-year-old man from Bournemouth was previously arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and affray and was released on bail.
Further enquiries have been carried out and a 22-year-old man from Bournemouth has now been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.
Offices are continuing to keep the family of the victim updated with developments in the investigation.
