Arrests made following alleged robbery in Bournemouth

Officers investigating an alleged robbery in Bournemouth have arrested two teenagers.

At around 6.30pm on Tuesday 22 February 2022 the victim, a 14-year-old boy was with a friend on Chaseside near to the Littledown Centre when they were approached by a group of teenagers. It is reported that the victim was pushed by one of the group and his AirPod headphones were stolen.

The group left the scene and a short time later a man confronted them near to the astro turf pitches at the rear of the sports centre and was allegedly threatened by a member of the group.

Following enquiries, a 14-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy – both from Bournemouth – have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. The boy was also arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
